3. HR interviews
Aptitude: The MuApt format changed this year and the exam was for 2 hours.
The test was divided in two main sections.
- First section again had 4 subsections: Quantitative Logical questions, Verbal Questions, Personality, Creativity. The difficulty of the questions was above average. (Few were difficult, do not waste time on them} There is negative marking.
- Second section was for 30 minutes. It has two main question which were pictures. You have to interpret these pictures and write an essay within the limited words. The essay was to test how you interpret a data given to you and in what manner does one think. So along with stating the obvious, the key was to provide conclusions by thinking in creative manner or different angle. Out of the two questions given, first one was a graph with data and second one is a picture. There is no negative marking in this section.
- Video Synthesis: A video synthesis round was conducted for the candidates. In this round, a small sheet of the size of pot card is given and a video is played. The video is of roughly 10 minutes. The one played for us was of Mr. Dhiraj Rajaram, CEO of MuSigma speaking of client and business analytics. The topic seemed to go a bit over the head but was understandable with proper concentration. After that, we were asked to write the synthesis of it on the card. Note the space is very limited and could accommodate at most 4 or 5 sentences. A jist and interpretation of the video has to be written within that space. The key here is to highlight the important and the essence of the video.
- HR interviews: There was a single one-on-one interview conducted for all the selected candidates. The interviewer asked us questions based on our answers to the subjective questions or personality questions in the aptitude and asked for the reason behind choosing the particular answer for the situation in the question. Few question were asked by quoting situations and what we prefer or would do in the situations or why we chose MuSigma. Some parts of the interview was like a stress interview. Questions about ourselves and how we have faired in the college or what we have done for the past three years was asked.
