Royal Enfield Interview Experience UVCE (2)

Royal Enfield Interview Experience - 2

CONTIBUTOR : Santhosh N Byadagi
STREAM : Mechanical Batch of 2018

Initially there was a Pre-Placement talk followed by
1.     Aptitude
2.     Group Discussion
3.     Technical and HR Interview

1. Aptitude Round:
This round consisted of  6 sections . It included Technical aptitude, Quantitative aptitude, Verbal, Logical Reasoning, Numerical analysis and Data interpretation.
Quants and Data Interpretation were a little tricky .
Technical Aptitude included basics of Engineering Mechanics, SOM , FM, Thermodynamics and manufacturing process etc. Its easy, if you have strong understanding of the fundamental concepts.
All other sections were comparatively easier.
Note :  Each section had a cut-off. Time management and calmness are the most important parameters. I would recommend taking a mock-test before the drive.
2. Group Discussion:
All shortlisted candidates were given 2 Topics in a single panel for the GD which were -
·       What are the challenges that solar vehicles are facing in present days?Is it necessary? If so, how to overcome these challenges?
·       Considering the vast number of graduating engineers every year in India, what steps would you take if you were the Central Education Minister to improve job opportunities?
Be clear and specific about your views and follow professional decorum during the discussion.
The duration was about 20 minutes for each Topic.
Note: Don't try to dominate others.
3. Technical and HR interview :
Both Technical and HR interview were done simultaneously.
First question was generic like "briefly introduce yourself" followed by questions based on my resume.
The technical questions started based on my subjects of interest. They asked about my project & internship and
"what was your contribution as a teammate"
They asked questions related to Automobiles, DOM and MP. They asked about technical certifications, technical software and also about any personal projects.
Note : Highlight the scope and methodology of your project.
In HR, they asked about my family background , extra-curricular activities and my views on social issues. They are looking for candidates who are humble and excited to learn new things. Also, be prepared for
"why do you want to join Royal Enfield?"
"what do you know about Royal Enfield?"
Personal Tips:
Don't try to impress them. Be prepared with mock interviews. As my experience, 1st round is crucial one, try to answer correctly as much as possible. They expect candidates with good technical skills, communication skills, management skills, humanity, right attitude and a good resume as well.
Communicate with your seniors who are working currently in RE. They will ask you to use pen and sketches to explain your project because you are an ENGINEER.
Feel free to contact me for any of your queries. I would be happy to assist you.
